Between the Battles
An exhibition of 40 images from
the finest photographers of the
Civil War era. The exhibition features
tintypes, ambrotypes, stereocards and
albumen prints documenting what Civil
War life was like away from the battlefields.

The exhibition takes us on a journey
through the lesser-documented moments
of war. Incidents from the volume of
history that are rarely brought to life are
captured in these images from
photographers such as Alexander Gardner,
Wood & Gibson, Matthew Brady and
Timothy O'Sullivan.
